Highline Juniors Program

Highline Youth Soccer families:

Highline Premier FC, the advanced development club of the Highline Soccer Association, is excited to announce the launch of the HIGHLINE JUNIORS Program. The new program is a seasonal supplemental soccer program for enthusiastic, motivated boy and girl recreational soccer players in the U8, U9 and U10 age groups. The Spring Program will be from February through April.

HIGHLINE JUNIORS is part of the new Washington Youth Soccer Regional Club League (RCL) Junior Academy Program. The program is open to any player seeking participation in a higher level of training and match experiences. It is ideally suited for recreational players and parents desiring a more soccer-intensive, advanced player development experience delivered in a more structured skills development process. The program's focus is on rapid skills development in a fun, high energy environment facilitated by professional soccer trainers experienced in working with young children.

Participants in the Spring HIGHLINE JUNIORS Program will receive training each Wednesday or Thursday at 5PM at scheduled locations in West Seattle, Seatac and/or Highline. Sessions are 90 minutes and start the week of January 30th. Games will be held on the weekends and will include a fun mix of small-sided games, jamborees and matches, both within the program and with other area programs and clubs.

PRE-REGISTRATION AND ENROLLMENT
Enrollment in the Spring HIGHLINE JUNIORS Program is open to all interested U8, U9 and U10 players (last fall 2011). While enrollment is open, it does require participation in one of the "Assessment & Placement" sessions to be held on Thursday, January 26th and Friday, January 27th.

  • Thursday, Jan 26th, 5PM, at Delridge South Playfield
  • Friday, Jan 27th, 5PM, at Valley Ridge Park Field #2

This is not a tryout. HIGHLINE JUNIORS is a program open to all interested players. Registration for the Assessment & Placement Sessions is Free, Online and Now Open. Please go to the HIGHLINE JUNIORS web page for more information and to pre-register for the Assessment & Placement Sessions: http://www.highlinepremier.com/page/show/448786-highline-juniors-program.

WE NEED COACHES!

Please consider volunteering to coach. It's a unique opportunity to help these young athletes grow; and, is an incredibly rewarding experience.

As Mini's coach (ages 4-7), you do not need experience, just a great disposition to work with young children and provide them guidance in the basics: no hands, no pushing, have FUN!

We have a desperate need for coaches to form teams for our older players. For those who would be interested in coaching ages 7 thru 17, continuing clinics are offered each season.

Once your registration as a coach is completed, we provide you information and assistance regarding establishing your own TEAM Page, and how to administer your team roster, schedule and communications.

For those of you seeking assistance on how to use the coaching tools, please visit the help guide.

Concussion Education - "When in doubt, sit them out!"

On July 26, 2009, House Bill 1824 - also known as the Zackery Lystedt Law - became effective. The law mandates that ALL players and parent(s)/guardians annually read and acknowledge an informed consent form relating to the nature and risk of concussion or head injury prior to the start of the season. The new law is an important step in ensuring player safety and mitigating head injuries. Read More Here
